I previously participated in a Dear Data "submission project," where I tracked the items I had on my desk at the moment.
Of course, because it was only one moment in time, I hadn't been able to really track the frequency of the data over a period of time.
This time, I wanted to be able to do so, as well as integrate more motion into my dataset display.
I tracked these items across a time of 10 days, as we receieved some extra time on this project (and I was swamped with 7 midterms and 4 additional assignments... I wasn't getting this done on time if I planned to actually sleep).
Across these four days, I tracked these things in particular: technology (computers, tablets, phones, etc.), art supplies (sketchbooks/notebooks, pens, pencils, markers, charcoal, etc.), beauty products (makeup, skincare, haircare), and other miscellaneous objects (accessories, jewelry, random tidbits, etc.)
I'm planning on continuing to work on this after this class, and I want to try importing the data via a csv or json file, instead of just writing them all out in an array.
Additionally, I want to be able to make "shadows" of each subset, so that you can see the spread of the objects all in one frame, but that on each day the animation plays, it'll focus on that one in particular.
